To bring inspiration to our members we yearly organize a Retail Safari. Members are invited to participate this 3 day trip to an inspiring city and its surroundings. The EFSA organization coordinates the trip and prepares a program full of retail inspiration and insights. In general, one day we visit a city where we can find nice retail concepts en the other day we visit several gardencenters/retail in the area.
All this, of course, in combination with good company of industry peers, sharing knowledge and insights with drinks and good lunches and dinners.
This spring, we visited the Antwerp region with 11of our members during our annual retail safari. Close to home, but very worthwhile! Lots of information and knowledge was shared with each other on sustainability issues, HRM and developments in garden centers, among other things.
We started with a visit to Christmas supplier Goodwill, one of our members. The next morning, the group took a bicycle tour along projects on greening and making the city more climate-adaptive and visited the inspiring rooftop garden PAKT. In the afternoon, the programm included innovative and interesting retail companies such as Rituals, Moose in the city, Lynk&Co, ‘t Stad Leest and Wondr. On the second full day, we visited four garden centers: Tuincentrum Van Uytsel, Tuincentrum Claes, Floralux in Ham and the Genker Plantencentrum.
